The MSUFCU Desk Drawer Foundation has vetted the nonprofits it supports, ensuring funds are used as intended, directing grants to organizations engaged in: The Arts, Entrepreneurship, Financial Education, Stable Housing, and Youth Empowerment. Thanks to the Credit Union's generous in-kind support of the Foundation, overhead costs are minimal, allowing member contributions to directly benefit local nonprofits and the communities they serve.

The Desk Drawer Foundation has received IRS recognition of its exemption from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Desk Drawer Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
